To tell the stories of women and all those who are part of the music industry with a focus on Mediterraean countries.
Who are we?
Mediterranean Girls in Music (MGIM) is a collective, as well as a multilingual platform and magazine dedicated to promoting women in the music industry worldwide, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean region. It offers a wide range of content, including interviews, articles, and news, all aimed at highlighting the stories of those who work in music (industry professionals and artists) and promoting gender equality in the industry.
Even though we include everyone, the platform has a special focus on female voices and experiences.
Furthermore, through our social channels, we provide advice, tips, and insights to anyone interested in this sector, whether professionally or just out of curiosity. Many articles are written in all three languages of the site (Italian, English, and Spanish), but topics more closely related to a specific country can be found in that country’s language. Since most of our writers are Italian, you will probably find more content related to Italy.

The idea behind the project...
The media have often expressed the need for more women in the sector, and the Mediterranean area has a rich musical heritage that is sometimes overshadowed by larger markets.

For this reason, the project is open to everyone but focuses on women and Mediterranean countries with the aim of highlighting the local market.
