Mediterranean Girls in Music (MGIM) is a multilingual cultural platform created by women from the Mediterranean, dedicated to celebrating and exploring the music industry from multiple perspectives. The platform is structured around three main sections: the Music Industry Observatory, the Agency and the Editorial Section.

The Music Industry Observatory functions as a data library. It contains reports and in-depth analyses of the music sector produced by our team. This section addresses different themes and components of the industry and provides an informed and analytical view of the sector.

The B2B Agency supports music companies and brands in understanding fandoms, culture, and audiences through research and intelligence reports. As a B2B agency, we primarily work with record labels and music companies.

​

The Editorial Section, the first area developed by the team, celebrates women in the music industry with a focus on the Mediterranean. While valuing artists and professionals of all genders and backgrounds, it pays particular attention to women and Mediterranean markets in order to honor local heritage.

The idea behind the project...

The media have often expressed the need for more women in the sector, and the Mediterranean area has a rich musical heritage that is sometimes overshadowed by larger markets.

​

For this reason, the project is open to everyone but focuses on women and Mediterranean countries with the aim of highlighting the local market.
