Natalie Pérez Never Disappoints: A Look at the Album “Casa”

When artists like Natalie Pérez release a new project, it is always interesting to see which direction they choose to take. The Argentine artist has always found a way to surprise her fans while, at the same time, remaining consistent with the musical path that has characterized her and made her known to local audiences and beyond since the beginning of her career.
Her latest album is called Casa and is Natalie’s fourth official album, although her career began long before music. As far as her discography is concerned, her first album was Un Té de Tilo, Por Favor, released in 2018, followed by Detox in 2020 and Intermitente in 2023.
Casa has twelve songs and is about her. This is precisely what all her projects have in common: they talk about her experiences, her feelings, and moments that are part of her journey. It is a very personal album but, at the same time, one that can adapt to different situations and contexts.
Recorded live, released in April, and produced by Diego Matturro, Casa is an album that lends itself to being listened to in any season of the year. Carefully crafted down to the last detail, it stands out for its originality and for the natural way Natalie brings together different genres: another proof that she is a complete artist, something that at this point is no longer news. Throughout her career, she has always shown that she knows how to move between different sounds and styles without losing her identity. From pop to cumbia, from indie to rock, with some nods to urban music, Natalie takes different sounds and brings them into her own universe. The twelve songs maintain a clear coherence with the album’s concept, but each one has something of its own that sets it apart.
Amid this diversity, cultural elements also emerge throughout the songs, videos, and the album’s overall concept: different sounds and instruments, a light yet powerful voice, direct but capable of adapting to the different atmospheres of the record.
The title also says a lot about this project. Natalie called it that precisely because she loves her home: her personal, simple, everyday space, which she loves for its simplicity and which represents her completely. It is also a symbolic space that serves as a refuge she can always return to.
All of this also works as a metaphor for what she does on the album: opening the doors to her personal world to the public and allowing those who listen to her to get to know her a little better. In the same way, music can be interpreted as her refuge, the way in which she shows others a part of herself.
