While waiting for the release of her new album on May 21st—although she mentioned it might be delayed—Lana Del Rey released Bluebird, a simple, refined and profound ballad. Lana Del Rey is special because she possesses a rare talent—not just her unmistakable voice, but the way her lyrics touch the soul, even that of a stone.
She is the singer of the soul: profound in her words, sensitive in her voice, and seductive at the same time. She enchants you with her voice and cradles you, leading you on an emotional journey, making you feel things you didn’t think you could feel.
All of Lana Del Rey’s talent captured in her new single Bluebird
Bluebird is an example of her talent because she turned an everyday event—a bird flying into her room—into a metaphorical musical ballad. It's metaphorical because that encounter between Lana and the bluebird marked a symbolic moment for the artist, prompting her to reflect and make difficult personal choices. Bluebird speaks of hope, resilience, and melancholy—feelings that, with its acoustic base, enveloping strings, fingerpicking, and Lana’s ethereal voice, are only amplified, making it impossible not to be swept away.
Bluebird is the second single released in anticipation of the album, along with Henry, Come On, both co-written with Luke Laird and produced by Drew Erickson. These singles showcase her stylistic evolution, which leans more and more toward American folk, with strong country vibes.
We can't wait to listen to the entire album and find out what Lana has prepared for us. We're definitely expecting a lot of depth.
