Niamh, originally from the stunning Applecross peninsula and now based in Glasgow, has always had a way of making music that’s both deeply personal and universally relatable. Known for her emotional performances, Niamh’s music invites you into her world, where vulnerability and strength go hand in hand.
For Escape Niamh worked with an incredible group of musicians: Stephen Buggy on drums, Tabitha Beavitt on fiddle and Yeoman on bass guitar. Niamh herself adds a layer of lush cello to the mix, which gives the song a rich depth that pulls you in. Yeoman’s production brings a nostalgic feel, giving the track a timeless quality while still sounding completely fresh.
Escape is a powerful follow-up to The Dreamer, it's emotional and beautifully layered. The way Niamh weaves her vocals together creates a haunting, immersive experience that you can’t help but feel deeply.
True to her roots, Niamh brings elements of Scottish traditional music into Escape, especially through Beavitt’s emotive fiddle playing.
